The station is powered by a Oregon WMR928NX weather station. The data is collected on an ongoing basis and the site is updated every minute. This site and its data is collected using Meteohub. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

About Venhuizen

Venhuizen is a village in the municipality Drechterland. The village is located in the West-Friesland in the Dutch province of Noord-Holland. The village residents counted in 2007 3620.

Venhuizen is a former municipality, on January 1, 2006 merged with the municipality Drechterland. At the time of the merger it has been decided that the name Drechterland was going to be the name of the newly created municipality. The last mayor of the municipality Venhuizen was the Sino-Surinamese With Roy Ho Sung, the first immigrant mayor in the Netherlands. Venhuizen is also in the Town (1662) of the former municipality.

On a map of the Dutch in 1288, the Northern Quarter as a place for Veenhusen. The place name would refer to that in homes or in the peat were located. The Dutch Reformed church dates from the 15th century. The other large church, St. Luke Church, which is a separate style. It is sometimes by the locals referred to as the "tough" church.
